Zarzycka, Faculty of Geography and Regional Studies, University of Warsaw<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Studia Geohistorica 11, 2023, p. 123\u2013141<strong><br><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/apcz.umk.pl\/AZMDDP\/issue\/view\/2772\">Journal home page<\/a><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Abstract: The article introduces the figure of W\u0142adys\u0142aw Sarna (1858\u20131929) and his two texts devoted to the former counties of Galicia: Opis powiatu kro\u015bnie\u0144skiego pod wzgl\u0119dem geogra-ficzno-historycznym [Description of the Krosno County from geographical-historical perspective] (Przemy\u015bl, 1898) and Opis powiatu jasielskiego pod wzgl\u0119dem geograficzno-historycznym [Description of the Jas\u0142o County from geographical-historical perspective] (Jas\u0142o, 1908). In the following part, the content concerning the legal and ethnic cir-cumstances of the settlements and locations under German and Vlach laws contained in both works was analysed. Based on the information in the Descriptions and contemporary literature, a data&#8211;base was developed for each described settlement with the time of their appearance in historical sources and the law under which they functioned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The full article is available exclusively in Polish.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Martyna A.
