The search engine allows you to search the resources on the Atlas Fontium website in terms of the settlements it contains. The resource is searched only on the basis of a string. This means that if the same settlement is mentioned under completely different names in different publications, both occurrences will not be returned with the same query.
\nThe table consists of the following columns: Main name, Additional names, Administrative affiliation, Publication, Map. The first one contains the name under which a given place functions in a given publication. Additional names are all other names of the place in a given publication (including modern or foreign names), separated by commas. In the column Administrative affiliation, affiliation to state administrative units or historical regions, according to the one recorded in the publication, is given. If the publication omitted this information, AHP affiliation was provided. The abbreviations used in this column are listed below. The last two columns contain a link to the publication page in which the settlement was mentioned and a link to the map application. Due to the fact that some publications did not have the letter functionality, it was not always possible to provide a link. Also due to the heterogeneity of the source material, it was not always possible to indicate territorial affiliation. The name in square brackets indicates a settlement without certain identification.<\/p>\n
